There was a
ruler,who ruled cruely and done a lot of injustice.A boy ,belongs to
tribal society,made a derision against this ruler .The ruler
became angry.He gave an order to bring all tribals to a paddy field.
After that, the garrison of the ruler killed all these
tribal.
Fortieth day
of this cruelty, the tribals ,who are murdered ,raised as evil
spirits. They troubled the people in that area. All the farms
destroyed and normal life hindered. The ruler defeated in a battle
and he committed to suicide.
Kesunny
Vaidyar was a magician and chief physician of ettumana palace.He
was the secret force and success of ettumana king.Kesunny Vaidyar
understood the reason behind all these calamities. He knew that only
remedy is Bhagavan Chathan Swami. But he was too old to perform
severe penance and prayer to please Chathan Swami. He asked his son
Kovindan to go for a pilgrimage to kailasa. He went there and
through his extreme Tapas, esceticism , pleased the
power of excellence ,Bhagavan Sri Chathan Swami.
Years
passed.One day, a middle aged person,with a saintly look, walked
through the paddy fields of ettumana. The evil spirits followed the
saint.They thought,they could suck his blood. But,the saint trapped
and defeated all evil spirits by his super natural force. It was
Kovinda Muthappan, who brought Bhagavan Chathan Swami
and established Karanayil Madom. |

different parts of world are coming here for Jathakadosham,
mental disorders, failure in business, profession, and other
problems related to their day to day life for getting relief for
their disasters.
Kovinda
Muthappan is the adhiguru , ascetic and guide of this
Madom.For his memory, there established a place called
Kukshikalpa.Many Poojas are conducting for his
honour.

ruler of Karanayil Madom now. He hails from the ancient family
line of Kovindamuthappa. The Swamiji is well known for his qualities
of devotion,dedication and sincerity.

hundred and Ninety Kuttichathans, Devi Bhuvaneswari, Nagarakshas,
Brahmarakshas etc. are Upadevathamoorthies.As a part of tradition,
there are many Poojas and religious rites performed here. |
